How did I get here? My story

Every day, I have the privilege of helping families create emergency plans that are customized to their location, budget, and the specific disasters they are most likely to face. I teach them the critical fundamentals of knowing when to stay and when to leave during an emergency. Some might say I was born to protect others. Ever since I was three years old my life revolved around firetrucks and firefighters - I still have birthday pictures and toy fire trucks to prove it.

Before graduating high school, at 17, I became a volunteer firefighter. Driven by a desire to serve and protect, I joined the Marines and later pursued a career that led me to work in an Emergency Operations Center. Along the way, I became a professional firefighter, EMT, Rescue Technician, HAZ MAT Technician. Which meant completing numerous courses, licenses, college classes, hours of specialized training in emergency preparedness, response, and mitigation.

So, why am I telling you this? For me, emergency preparedness isn't just about having a "bug-out bag" or heading for the hills when things get tough. It's about protecting your family, your neighbors, and your community. It's about equipping you with everything you need - not just for surviving the immediate impact of the disaster, but for thriving the weeks and months that will follow. My mission is simple yet urgent: I want families to feel confident and safe in the face of danger. I believe life is worth protecting, and no one should have to perish in a disaster if they have the right tools and knowledge to overcome adversity.

It simply requires knowing the right questions to ask, taking a little time to create a solid plan, and ensuring that everyone in your family is on the same page. It does NOT require you becoming a full-time prepper.

That's why you're here - because you're ready to learn what you may not already know and gain the peace of mind that comes with knowing you and your family are prepared for whatever life throws your way.

While I've always had a natural desire to prioritize preparedness - especially after living in states like California, Oregon, Florida and North Carolina - not everyone I know has been so fortunate. This realization made me understand just how valuable the knowledge I've gained over three decades truly is. Watching people suffer through disasters without the tools or plans they need is heartbreaking and is what has motivated me to take action. I knew deep down I had to be a part of the solution to equip others to handle real-life emergencies - not just the large-scale disasters that make the headlines.

Don't wait until you've been the victim of a disaster to prepare for one.

My hope and prayer for you:

To help you and your family become fully prepared to face any emergency - to recognize when it's time to hunker down or time to evacuate and to have a flexibly plan for both.

If you had to leave your home right now, this very second, would you know what to do? Most people overlook or simply aren't aware of key aspects of emergency planning, but that's what makes Disaster Proof different. Based on personal experiences with a large family during crisis and years of professional training, I guide you through every level of consideration for family preparedness, including valuable corporate and governmental insights and recommendations.

If your focus is on packing your bug-out-bag (or I'm Never Coming Home bag) and heading for the hills to survive the Apocalypse in your underground bunker, well, this course probably isn't for you. But if your like me and you have family, friends or neighbors you want to help keep safe in an emergency, you're here for such a time as this. You're here to become Disaster Proof.

One thing I've learned is that emergency preparedness doesn't have to be difficult.
